Aidil Wines & Liquors  was founded in 1984 by a Portuguese entrepreneur from New Jersey, who named the company after his wife “ LIDIA ” or “ AIDIL ” if read backwards. Aidil is a company dedicated to Importing and Distribution of fine wines, ports, liquors and beer from Portugal. Its been our goal to promote this beautiful country, its people, its food and of course the great “nectar” made from the most unique grapes. Portuguese wine is unique and so are we !

Our task is not an easy one; promoting wines with hard to spell grape varietals in the United States is a difficult assignment. In one hand the lack of image Portugal had as a country itself and on the other hand the generic drinking habits of thousands of consumers in America.

Also, many thought Portugal only produced port, and were entirely unaware of our fine reds and whites. To achieve such goals we believe in premium client support through our knowledgeable and motivated sales team. We made an effort along the way to acquire vigorous associates who can easily identify themselves with our wines and are eager to obtain the necessary skills to deliver our portfolio up to the standards.   

We proudly represent in exclusivity some of the most reputable producers in the country. Names like Esporao, Gatao Vinho Verde, Quinta do Cabriz, Castelinho Port amongst many others are no longer unfamiliar to customers and media.

There is still a long road to travel in order to create a general awareness of our products and most important of our country.
